Indianapolis, Ind., — The Indiana Fever host their season opener Saturday afternoon at 1 PM ET, in Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Youth Sports Day.
Veteran Candice Dupree will lead a new young roster of players as the Fever look to secure a win in their home opener against the Chicago Sky. The Fever have a solid group of returners with point guard Erica Wheeler at the helm and rookies Stephanie Mavunga, Kelsey Mitchell, and Victoria Vivians ready to make their debut.
The Chicago Sky will be without point guard Courtney Vandersloot as she wraps up international play, but have 2x Sixth Woman of the Year Allie Quigley, Stefanie Dolson, and Cheyenne Parker returning to help lead the squad.

With the 2018 WNBA season tipping off tonight and a full schedule of games on Sunday, fans are in for a treat this summer as we watch these teams work.
The Dallas Wings and Phoenix Mercury will open the season tonight in Phoenix, after teams finalized their rosters on Thursday. The Wings return Skylar Diggins-Smith and reigning Rookie of the Year Allisha Gray. Dallas also welcomes international center, Liz Cambage who joins the team after a long absence from the W. Cambage adds a much needed post presence to the floor giving the Wings a chance to battle against teams with bigs like Griner.
The Mercury return last years WNBA scoring leader Brittney Griner (21.9 ppg) along with veteran sharp shooter Diana Taurasi. Phoenix will definitely be a squad to contend with after adding pieces like point guard Briann January, and the return of DeWanna Bonner who can score, rebound, and run the floor.
