Memphis, Tenn. — The LeMoyne-Owen College (LOC) Magicians (2-2) men’s basketball team is back in action on Jerry C. Johnson Court, just in time for the holiday break. LOC will face the Clayton State University (CSU) Lakers (0-1), Monday, Nov. 20.
Tip-off is set for 8:30 PM ET.
The Lakers and the Magicians last saw each other at CSU (Morrow, GA), back on Nov. 17, 2016, in which the Lakers came out on top in a 113-101 battle. The Magicians are coming off an 88-84 victory over Union University, in which LOC shot near perfect from the charity stripe (95% FT). LeMoyne-Owen’s Rashawn Ellis is averaging 19.5 ppg, and is coming of a hot 30-point game. The Magicians had four players reach double-digits in Saturday’s victory, and look to carry over the team effort as they open a three-game home stretch tonight.
The Lakers of Clayton State will be in search of their first win of the 2017-18 season, as they make their first ever trip to LeMoyne-Owen on the tail end of a three-game road stint. Senior forward, Denzel Council leads the Lakers with 18.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
