Discover the Magic at LOC’s Homecoming

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — LeMoyne-Owen College, locally known as LOC, is the first, and only HBCU in Memphis, TN. Home of the Magicians!

As a Division II institution, LOC is a member of the NCAA and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).

Saturday, Nov. 4, the LeMoyne-Owen community will welcome three visitors to Bruce Hall/Jerry C. Johnson Gymnasium. With a full schedule of games, you won’t want to miss out on this year’s Homecoming athletics events.

At 10:30 AM (CT), the Lady Magicians (20-8) Volleyball team take on conference foe, Lane College Dragons (10-16) in their final regular season match-up. The Lady Magicians have been stellar this season boasting a (12-3) conference record and look to defend home court against the Lady Dragons.

At 2:00 PM (CT), the Lady Magicians Basketball squad open their 2017-18 season at Bruce Hall. The Lady Magicians host the Hornets (1-0) of Harris-Stowe State University in this years LOC Homecoming. Hungry and eager to begin the season, the Lady Magicians look to improve upon last seasons 8-22 record.

The Men’s Basketball team will follow at 4:00 PM (CT), as they take on Xaiver University of Louisiana (XULA). Thursday, the Magicians faced the University of Memphis Tigers in their hometown exhibition match. Memphis, came out on top, 101-78, in a hard fought battle. The Magicians look to bring their ‘A’ game in their home opener, against the Gold Rush (2-0) Saturday. Last season, the Gold Rush held on for the 77-74 victory over the Magicians.
