The Los Angeles Sparks and the Minnesota Lynx have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in their respective series, as they look to have a repeat showdown of last years WNBA Finals.
Game 3s in the best-of-five Semifinals, tip today on ESPN, with Minnesota at Washington at 3 PM ET, and Los Angeles at Phoenix at 5 PM ET. To force Game 4s and keep their seasons alive, the Mystics and the Mercury are in a do or die situation; With their backs against the wall, it’s win BIG or go home.

MINNESOTA LYNX VS. WASHINGTON MYSTICS (LYNX 2-0)
Game 3: Up 2-0, the Lynx hit the road at Washington Sunday, to finish what they started; just one game away from the 2017 WNBA Finals and another chance at calling themselves champions. With a win today, Minnesota looks to reach their 6th Finals in 7 years. This years league MVP, Sylvia Fowles, put up 25 points to lead the Lynx in Game 2’s victory. Maya Moore also added 22 points. The Mystics were led by Elena Delle Donne and Kristi Toliver who scored 25 points a piece in Washington’s loss. Game 3 will be a crucial match-up for both squads, and Washington will have a chance to steal one at home to keep their postseason alive. Tune in on ESPN at 3PM ET, for an exciting battle.
LOS ANGELES SPARKS VS. PHOENIX MERCURY (SPARKS 2-0)
Game 1: #2 Sparks beat #5 Mercury, 79-66
Game 3: The defending champs have been successful thus far in the defense of their WNBA title, as they inch closer to a return trip to the Finals. Taking Game 2 against the Mercury Thursday, the deep roster of Los Angeles along with their core players showed why they are destined for more greatness. Candace Parker had a big outing finishing with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. Odyssey Sims also pitched in 21 points, and Nneka Ogwumike contributed 18. Phoenix’s Diana Taurasi led the Mercury with 21 points after a low scoring Game 1 against Defensive Player of the Year, Alana Beard. With Beard in early foul trouble, the All-time scorer took advantage, but still the Mercury came up short. If Phoenix has any chance of slowing up the Sparks, minimizing their turnovers and L.A.’s second chance points in the paint is a must.
