Sparks, Lynx Game Preview

The Los Angeles Sparks (18-7) and the Minnesota Lynx (21-3) meet again tonight, in a showdown of the top two teams in the league.

Both teams having secured their tickets to the playoffs, will have byes into the best of five playoff semifinals. The visiting Sparks are coming off an 85-79 loss to Dallas, putting an end to their four game win streak. Los Angeles was out-rebounded 47-31, grabbing just four compared to Dallas’ 16 on the offensive end. Nneka Ogwumike and Candace Parker led the Sparks with 21 points apiece in the loss.

The Lynx closed out their season series against Atlanta on Tuesday with another victory, sweeping the Dream 3-0 this season. Sylvia Fowles led the charge scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while Maya Moore tallied 16 on the evening.

The Sparks and the Lynx will meet in their third and final match-up of the regular season on Aug. 26 in L.A. Tune in to tonight’s game at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBATV.
