The Atlanta Dream (10-11) will host the top tier Minnesota Lynx (17-2) at 7:30 p.m. ET, in McCamish Pavilion on Friday.
The Dream who defeated the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday, 99-91, are looking to turn heads by winning back to back games over two strong teams. If Atlanta can have another solid performance tonight against the best in the league, this could be just the momentum they need heading into the latter half of the season. The Dream were led by Brittney Sykes with 20 points and 13 rebounds, followed by Tiffany Hayes with 19 and Elizabeth Williams with 16. Guard Layshia Clarendon nearly had the league’s first triple-double since 2014, going for 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists in Atlanta’s victory.
The Lynx will be a tough challenge though, as they continue to build steam with four straight wins. Hoping to make it a fifth, the Lynx will look to Maya Moore to lead and keep her teammates involved on both ends of the floor. Moore had a season-high 27 points over New York on Tuesday, while Sylvia Fowles added 18 and 9 rebounds. Lindsay Whalen who hit the baseline jumper to seal the deal for Minnesota, finished with 12 points.
