Sky, Sun Game Preview

The Connecticut Sun (12-9) will host the Chicago Sky (8-13) at 7:00 p.m. ET, in Connecticut for the third match-up of this season series. So far, the Sun have held their own as they have a 2-0 lead over Chicago.

Despite their most recent loss before the All-Star break to New York, the Sun have played well this season after a rocky start. Connecticut had three, first time All-Stars appear in the 2017 WNBA All-Star game, where Jonquel Jones led both the East and the West with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Jones even slammed one home for the crowd to cap off the event. Jasmine Thomas who also represented in the 3-point contest, added 8 points and 8 assists in the East’s loss. Alyssa Thomas contributed 4 in her All-Star debut.

The Sky who are coming off a win over the Los Angeles Sparks, look to continue their two-game win streak as they conclude their road trip in Connecticut. Guard Allie Quigley, who also made her first All-Star appearance, wowed the fans of Seattle during the 3-point contest as she defeated Sugar Rodgers to take home the trophy. Quigley finished with 14 points for the East.
