With the season series up in the air, tonight’s game between the Indiana Fever (7-11) and the Los Angeles Sparks (13-5) is important for both teams in different ways.
The host Sparks who are coming off an 87-77 win over Connecticut, look to get hot again by building on Thursday’s victory. Once again the trio of Candace Parker, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chelsea Gray proved dominant. Parker (20) and Ogwumike (29) combined for a total 49 of the Sparks’ 87 points, while Gray added 17 points to the teams win. Los Angeles hopes to keep their 8-0 home record unblemished with a win over Indiana.
The Fever who have dropped four games back to back-three of those being at home-are desperate for a win. Indiana has struggled this season on the defensive end and are hoping to clean things up as they hit the road in L.A., Phoenix, and San Antonio before All-Star break. In Friday’s loss to Washington, the Fever were led by Briann January with 15 points. Tiffany Mitchell, who was just shy of a double-double, added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
Catch tonight’s game at 10:30 p.m. ET, on WNBA League Pass.
