Stars, Sun Game Preview

In their final match-up of the season series, the Connecticut Sun (11-8) look to sweep the San Antonio Stars (2-16) at home.

After going on a five game win streak, Connecticut’s run was snapped by the Los Angeles Sparks in an 87-77 loss. Jonquel Jones who will be making her first All-Star appearance alongside Jasmine Thomas, scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the loss to the Sparks. Thomas finished with 14 points. The Sun who still remain atop the Eastern Conference are looking to bounce back with a win before heading into the break.

The Stars who were able to secure their second win of the season over the Indiana Fever, aim to win back-to-back games on their two game road trip starting with the Sun. With a 79-72 victory on Tuesday night, San Antonio claimed their first road win. Kayla McBride led the Stars with 18 points, while Erika de Souza went 7-for-7 from the floor in a season-high 14 points. Rookie Kelsey Plum also added 12 points and 6 rebounds to the teams win.
