Mercury, Lynx Game Preview

Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Minnesota Lynx (14-2) will host the Phoenix Mercury (11-7) at Xcel Energy Center.

The Lynx who defeated the Mercury in Arizona on Friday, aim to maintain their season series lead over Phoenix. In Friday’s 88-71 victory, the Lynx were led by Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore who each tallied 19 points in the win. Sylvia Fowles also added 18 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Unfortunately for the Mercury, their star center Brittney Griner will not be available in tonight’s showdown against Minnesota.

Griner suffered a knee and ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Friday’s match-up putting her out for 3-4 weeks. The Mercury will look to the remainder of its post players to step up in Griner’s absence. Angel Robinson is expected to be her replacement in the starting lineup.

Tune in tonight on NBATV.
