The San Antonio Stars (1-16) travel to Indianapolis Wednesday, to face the Indiana Fever (7-9) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Stars who are a young team, continue to press through this difficult season as they grow and rebuild. With a road record of 0-8, San Antonio is led by Kayla McBride with 15.5 ppg. Guard Moriah Jefferson also averages 10.8 ppg along with 4.5 assists per game. Last season, Jefferson tallied career highs in points (31) and steals (5) against the Fever.
This just the first of three contests this season, the Fever look to protect home court and snap their two game losing streak. Indiana is led in scoring by forward Candice Dupree with 14.8 ppg and 5.9 rpg. Guards Erica Wheeler (11.5), Shenise Johnson (11.3), and Tiffany Mitchell (10.8) are also averaging double-digits when it comes to scoring for the Fever.
