Mercury, Stars Game Preview

The #4 ranked Mercury, will take on the San Antonio Stars at 8 p.m. ET, in the AT&T Center.

Phoenix who is coming off a home win over the Mystics, is looking to continue their efforts on the road and defeat the Stars in tonight’s match-up. The Mercury are led by Brittney Griner, who tallied 30 points and a season-high 14 rebounds in the victory over Washington. Tonight’s game marks the second of three meetings this season, and the first match since a trade went down between Phoenix and San Antonio. The Mercury acquired Monique Currie in the deal for guard Shay Murphy, Sophie Brunner, and a 2018 Draft pick to the Stars.

San Antonio who is at the bottom of the league at 1-15, had their worst loss of the season Wednesday, getting blown out by the Connecticut Sun 89-56. Kayla McBride and Kelsey Plum led the Stars in the teams loss with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
