Tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET, The Seattle Storm will travel to the Verizon Center to face the Washington Mystics in their second of three meetings this season.
Seattle whose current standing is at 6-6, has lost four of its last five games and are looking to catch fire as they begin their three game road trip, before returning home to close out the first half of the season and enjoy the All-Star break. Guard Jewell Lloyd, leads the Storm averaging 18.3 points per game (ppg), followed by forward, Breanna Stewart averaging 17.6 ppg, and leading the charge on boards with 8.6 rebounds per game (rpg). Veteran guard, Sue Bird leads the team in assists with 7.7 assists per game (2,488 career) and only needs 112 more to pass Ticha Penicheiro for the No. 1 spot in career assists.
The Washington Mystics are sitting atop the league at No. 3, with an 8-5 overall record and look to continue their win streak after defeating the Chicago Sky. The Mystics are led by former Sky star and Delaware native, Elena Delle Donne who tallies 19.3 ppg and 6.8 rpg on average. Guards Tayler Hill and Kristi Toliver are also a threat offensively averaging 16.4 and 10.4 ppg, respectively. On the glass, center, Krystal Thomas cleans up well with 7.1 rpg.
